The competition kicks off at 10 am on March 3rd and runs until 12 pm on March 28th. You can enter anytime during the competition period, but remember, you’ll be eligible for prizes only starting from the week you enter.

Winners are announced every Friday at 12 PM. If you are a winner you will receive an email and you can log into WinZone to claim your prize. So, keep an eye on your inbox!

If you’re lucky enough to win cash, we’ll send it directly to your South African bank account. But don’t wait too long to claim it, you’ve got 3 months from the announcement to claim your prize before it’s forfeited.

Yep. If you win, share the love on Facebook and Instagram by posting with “I’m a Comtel winner” and tagging us. Let us know on WinZone once you’ve posted and you’ll score R256 in Comtel credit for each platform (max of R512 if you post on both). Pretty sweet, right?

You can enter just once. But don’t worry, there are still plenty of ways to increase your chances of winning, for example, liking and following Comtel on social media. One entry is all you need to get started.

Absolutely! You can join anytime during the 4-week competition period. But keep in mind, you’ll only be eligible for prizes starting from the week you enter. So, if you join in week two, you’ll be eligible for week two, week three and week four’s prizes, but not week one’s.

Yep! You can unsubscribe anytime after the competition ends, but to stay eligible for prizes during the competition, you’ll need to stay subscribed. No worries, though, you can always unsubscribe later.

Comtel can’t be held responsible for any lost, delayed, or misdirected entries due to technical hiccups. So, make sure your entry goes through properly before the cut-off time. We wouldn’t want you to miss out.

Nope! You don’t have to be a Comtel client to enter the competition. You just need to be 18 or older, a South African resident, and ready to join the fun. However, if you win a voucher, you’ll need to become a Comtel client to use it. Easy enough, right?

If for any reason you can’t accept your prize, let us know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, if you don’t claim it within the specified time frame, it will be forfeited. So, make sure you’re ready to claim it if you’re lucky enough to win.

Unfortunately, no. Prizes are non-transferable, which means you can’t give your prize to someone else. It’s all yours to enjoy.

1.1. Entrants must be at least 18 years old and residents of South Africa.
1.2. Proof of age and identity may be required.
1.3. Employees of Comtel, their immediate families, and individuals associated with the competition, including any promotional partners or agencies, are not eligible to enter.

2.1. To enter, participants must register online with Comtel on WinZone (win.comtel.co.za). Participants must provide their full name, surname, South African ID, a verified email address, and a mobile number.
2.2. Incomplete or invalid entries will not be accepted.

3.1. The competition runs for a four-week launch period. Participants may join at any time during this period.
3.2. Eligibility for weekly prizes begins from the week participants join onwards. For example, if an entrant joins in week two, they only become eligible to win from week two onwards, not for week one’s prizes.
3.3. Each Friday morning at 6am is the cut-off for that week’s draw. Participants who enter after 6am on Friday will only be eligible for the following week’s draw.
3.4. Winners are announced every Friday afternoon at 12pm during the competition period.

All prizes must be claimed from WinZone.
4.1. Cash Prizes
4.1.1. Winners must provide a nominated South African bank account to receive their prize via EFT.
4.1.2. If not claimed within three (3) months of notification, the prize will be forfeited.
4.2. Home Internet Vouchers
4.2.1. Vouchers are valid only in areas where Comtel has internet coverage.
4.2.2. The voucher will be allocated as credit to the winner’s Comtel account when they become a Comtel client (if they are not already).
4.2.3. Home vouchers cannot be converted into business vouchers.
4.3. Business Internet Vouchers
4.3.1. Vouchers are valid only in areas where Comtel has internet coverage.
4.3.2. The voucher will be allocated as credit to the winner’s Comtel account when they become a Comtel client (if they are not already).
4.3.3. Business vouchers cannot be converted into home vouchers.
4.4. Merchandise
4.4.1. Winners must provide a physical address to receive their prize. The item will be couriered to the provided address, and is not exchangeable for cash or credit.
4.4.2. If merchandise is not claimed within three (3) months of notification, it will be forfeited.
4.5. Additional Social Media Credit
4.5.1. Any winner (of cash, vouchers, or merchandise) who posts on their personal Facebook and/or Instagram account with the publicly visible tagline “I’m a Comtel winner” and tags Comtel will receive R256 credited to their WinZone balance for Facebook and R256 for Instagram (maximum of R512 total if both platforms are used).
4.5.2. This credit is strictly non-transferable and can only be used in accordance with WinZone’s standard usage policies.
4.6. No Cross-Conversion
4.6.1. Home vouchers cannot be converted into business vouchers and vice versa.

5.1. Vouchers will appear in the winner’s online profile and can be redeemed at any time within the validity period, including by existing Comtel clients. Vouchers are only usable when subscribing to a Comtel internet service i.e. you need to be a Comtel client to use the vouchers.
5.2. Any credit earned or won (including via social media posts or other bonus activities) is non-transferable.
5.3. Vouchers are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue and can be applied to any Comtel internet service, subject to coverage availability.

6.1. Unclaimed cash prizes and merchandise expire if not claimed within three (3) months from notification.
6.2. Unclaimed vouchers expire twelve (12) months from the date of issue.

7.1. The recognised competition platform SweepWidget (https://sweepwidget.com) is used to automatically assign and allocate winners and their respective prizes.
7.2. Participants can increase their chances of winning by:
7.2.1. Liking and subscribing to Comtel’s Facebook and Instagram pages, and
7.2.2. Sharing the links to friends and family

8.1. By entering, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal data for the purpose of administering the competition, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
8.2. Participants may have the right to access, correct, or withdraw their personal data.
8.3. Comtel will never share any participant’s personal information or data with third parties without explicit consent, except where required by law.

9.1. Comtel will only post winner details with their consent. Winners who agree may have their names and images used for marketing and promotional purposes related to the competition without additional compensation.
9.2. Such promotional activities may include, but are not limited to, announcements on Comtel’s website, social media channels, and marketing materials.
9.3. By entering the competition, participants agree to be automatically added to Comtel’s mailing list to receive newsletters and other communications. Participants must remain subscribed throughout the competition period to remain eligible for prizes. Participants may unsubscribe at any time after the competition has ended and they have received their first newsletter.

10.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Comtel will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from participation in the competition, acceptance of the prize, or any technical issues.
10.2. Comtel is not responsible for any lost, delayed, or misdirected entries due to technical or communication failures.

11.1. Any participant found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions, or attempting to manipulate or tamper with the entry process, may be disqualified at Comtel’s sole discretion.
11.2. Comtel reserves the right to verify the eligibility and identity of any participant.

12.1. Unless explicitly stated, this competition is not endorsed by any third parties, and references to third-party brands do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
